Terms of Service
Last updated: 14 October 2026
These terms govern your use of S-PDF, operated by S-PDF. By using the service you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use S-PDF.
1. The service
S-PDF provides online tools to merge, split, compress, convert, edit, sign, protect, unlock, repair, compare and recognise text in PDF files. We aim for high availability and accurate results but provide the service "as is", without warranties of any kind. Conversions between formats, OCR and redaction can be imperfect: always keep your original files and check every result before relying on it, especially redacted or signed documents.
2. Your files and responsibilities
- You keep all rights to your files. You give us only the limited permission needed to process them for you.
- Only upload files you have the right to use. Don't upload unlawful content, malware, or files whose processing would breach someone else's rights or a confidentiality obligation.
- Don't attempt to bypass usage limits, overload the service, scrape it, or access other users' files.
- Only use Unlock PDF on files you own or are authorised to open, and only sign documents in your own name or with permission. An electronic signature drawn with S-PDF is a simple electronic signature; whether it is legally sufficient depends on your document and jurisdiction.
- Don't use HTML to PDF to access pages you're not allowed to view, or to send automated traffic to other websites.
- Files are deleted automatically 60 minutes after your last action. Download what you need before then.
3. Plans and limits
The free plan includes 5 tasks per tool per day, up to 10 files and 50 MB per task, with ads. Pro includes unlimited tasks subject to fair use (to prevent abuse), up to 50 files and 500 MB per task, and no ads. Donations are voluntary gifts: they are not payment for Pro and don't change your plan. We may change limits with reasonable notice; changes to paid plans apply from your next billing period.
4. Payments, renewals and cancellation
- Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles billing, taxes and payment-related customer service. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
- Pro renews automatically each month or year until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from Account → Manage billing; Pro stays active until the end of the period you've paid for.
- Refunds: if Pro isn't right for you, contact us within 14 days of your first payment for a full refund. Renewals can be refunded within 14 days if you haven't used Pro since the renewal. Statutory consumer rights in your country are not affected.
5. Accounts
Keep your password safe; you're responsible for activity on your account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms or put the service or other users at risk. You can delete your account at any time.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, S-PDF is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or 50 USD if you use the free plan). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: support@s-pdf.com.
